If necessary our professionals will sign a non-disclosure agreement before detailed project requirements are discussed. Our goal of initial contact is to gain a summary of your software requirements and set up an appropriate meeting either virtually or in person to fully discuss your requirements.
A lead development engineer will work closely with you to fully understand your software needs and project scope. Depending upon your project scope, this may be accomplished within one meeting or subsequent meetings may be required.
The engineer will then create a detailed proposal which includes a project summary, task summary, schedule, and financial analysis for the project. Once completed the engineer will present the proposal and upon your acceptance, the proposal will be signed and the application design process can begin!
A deposit or retainer (usually 5% - 10% of the total project cost) is required to begin our work. Throughout this process the engineering team will have frequent meetings with you to solidify the definition and constraints of your project, and provide status updates. These meetings will be most important in regards to perfecting the application design. The team will develop a series of non-operational prototypes or wireframes (images) to present the application design in a format that is easily understood. You and your team will review these documents and make suggestions to improve the design to better fit your needs or use. After your approval of the prototype the code development will begin. During this development RPI's engineering team will frequently update you on the overall status of the development.
Upon completion of the application, the software will be installed on your system and RPI's engineer will demonstrate the software's proper functionality. RPI engineers will also assist you in any initial data entry and provide adequate training in the operation of the software for all employees. RPI will closely monitor the application during initial operation in your company to ensure employee understanding. At this point the remainder of the agreed amount must be paid, according to the agreement schedule.
RPI provides 1 year of unlimited support included in the proposed price. For subsequent years RPI scraps all formal maintenance set ups and procedures; 1 fee, call anytime and we will be on the next flight out if our presence is required!
